Rev. Dr. Stanley Karanja – Lead Pastor

Rev. Dr. Stanley Karanja is a passionate pastor, counselor, and teacher of God’s Word. With a heart for people and a deep commitment to biblical truth, he has dedicated his life to guiding individuals, strengthening marriages, and building strong families and community for the kingdom of God.

As a lifelong learner and servant leader, Dr. Karanja holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Theology from Pan Africa Christian University (Nairobi, Kenya), a Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University (Baltimore, Maryland), and a Doctor of Counseling from Mid-Western Baptist Theological Seminary (Kansas City, Missouri). His academics, paired with over twenty years of professional counseling, equips him to serve the body of Christ with wisdom and compassion.

He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). He has worked extensively with preteens, adolescents, and young adults, men, women, couples, families and groups. His 12-year tenure as a high school teacher and school chaplain endowed him with a unique insight into mentoring the next generation. He is an active participant of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
In 2010, Dr. Karanja together with his wife Rev. Regina Karanja founded Family Light Ministry, which has transitioned to Christian Church International (CCI Famkeng) which envisions to reach Families in America, Kenya and other nations globally. They continue to lead with hearts for discipleship and community transformation. Together they have been actively involved in other parachurch ministry involvement in Marriage Dynamics National Forum (MDNF), Kenya Christian Fellowship in America (KCFA), Maryland Kenyan Organization (MDKO), Jamuhuri Diasporah Saaco (JDSAACO) and Kenya Diaspora Clergy Fellowship (KDCF) and In Quest for Authentic Manhood to name just a few.
Dr. Karanja has been married to his college sweetheart, Rev. Regina Karanja for over 36 years. He is a devoted husband and proud father of four young adult children (two daughters and two sons). He believes that marital oneness result in family wellness which is a backbone to thriving communities. He is committed to seeing people grow in faith, purpose, and Christ-centred relationship. His mission is to see lives transformed by the gospel, one soul, one marriage, and one family at a time.
Rev. Regina Karanja – Associate Pastor

Rev. Regina Karanja serves as the Associate Pastor of CCI Famkeng, where she is committed to guiding individuals and families toward spiritual growth, emotional healing, and a Christ-centered life. With a heart for pastoral care and a deep passion for restoration, she walks alongside those facing life’s challenges, offering faith-based support and biblical wisdom.

Alongside her husband, Rev. Dr. Stanley Karanja, she actively ministers to all populations including children, adolescents, young adults, couples and families, equipping them with the tools to thrive into their God given potential and build strong, thriving relationship.

Rev Regina operates in her pastoral calling to touch and impact people’s lives. She is also an experienced psychiatric mental health clinician. She collaborates with individuals across all stages of life, helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, drugs and alcohol abuse, relationship struggles, and holistic wellness. Through evidence-based assessment, medication management, and personalized treatment plans, she empowers individuals to regain control of their lives and experience recapturing of their purpose and God given destiny in their lives.

In addition to her pastoral calling, Rev. Regina is a highly experienced psychiatric mental health clinician. She works with individuals across all stages of life, helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and emotional wellness. Through evidence-based assessment, medication management, and personalized treatment plans, she empowers individuals to regain control of their lives and experience holistic healing.

With a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, Rev. Regina provides a safe space where individuals can find clarity, hope, and renewed strength. Her mission is to help people rediscover their God-given purpose, embrace healing, and step into the abundant life that Christ has promised.
She has been married to her college sweetheart, Rev. Dr. Stanley Karanja, for over 36 years. Together, they are blessed with four wonderful children and are dedicated to serving the body of Christ with love and unwavering faith.
